The more we understand the physics and chemistry of the cycles, how they work and what drives them, the better we can direct our energies into forms that will actually further the unfolding. But presently, we have this amoral unconscious, intellectual knee jerk habit to separate the things we encounter into various parts. We then assign the parts to individual little boxes.

This placing of things in boxes, which is akin to our making of walls, describes practically our entire life pattern. From birth, we ourselves get boxed into these various dimensions.

In The Beginning Was the Box
Take sex for example. One is born with female genitals. The programming begins immediately and this human is labeled as a “she”. She is given pink stuff, a “girls” name, and that is followed day by day and step by step with programs of attributes and qualities that are considered by ages of cultural and racial programming appropriate for girls.

The same is true for humans born with male genitals. It is this bit of programming that is at the core of the “battle of the sexes” and a whole host of other really stupid cultural mores, traditions, and inequalities. These programs deplete our human potential and have us going around in these insane cycles of ego driven wars of control and freedom.

The same kind of programming leading to the same ridiculous cycles of ignorance goes on in relation to age, race, the list is exhaustive. Each box has very specific characteristics or attributes and to act or behave in any way that is not part of the box is often considered, at best, abnormal. Each of these little programs separates us further from who/what we really are, an immortal, individualized consciousness which, for lack of a better word, we refer to as a soul or spirit.

This boxing stuff makes it easy for us as separative individuals with self-centered motives to move the parts around and arrange them into various “logical” patterns that are pleasing to ourselves at the moment and fulfills the illusions of our being independent individuals. So, living becomes a computer program, a data processing operation driven by our separative self focused desires and devoid of any non-dense principled motivators such as Beauty, Justice, equilibrium, or as Plato called the Principles of Cosmic Physics, the Good.

The Walking Dead
Basically, a consciousness that exists in the illusion of one dimensional reality is the life of the walking dead, or as T. S. Eliot referred to them, the Hollow Men

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar.
Shape without form, shade without color,
Paralyzed force, gesture without motion;
Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death’s other
Kingdom Remember us—if at all—not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

This habitual process, however logical it seems to us, renders up an illusion or a distortion of reality and is, as we have been experiencing for eons, ultimately unsustainable.

Big Example #1
The overwhelmingly, scientifically documented multidimensional causes of the huge storms, typhoons, tornadoes, and hurricanes, that we have been experiencing for the past 10/15 years, present data to the one dimensional self-centered consciousness that will require that consciousness to make significant changes to many of the habitual patterns of behavior which are actually causing these surging climate changes.

The observable reactions of the hollow men to the overwhelming evidence of Science are two. One is simply to deny its validity and stuff it into a box made by “other scientists” that says the data is wrong and climate change is just a natural development. So, it’s O.K. to continue with the pollution etcetera. Two is just to ignore it.

Unfortunately for those who suffer and die in these storms and the very similar Hurricanes we call economic market crashes (the causes of which are also relegated to the “natural function” of something called the “markets”) and other greed and ignorance caused political disasters, consciousness, does not function in this one dimensional fashion.

Humans have free will and we evolve through experimenting, experiencing and adjusting the way we live according the results of our experimentation. Our experiments have over and over again demonstrated to those who are awake enough to realize it, that in order to evolve on this Planet we will have to be in harmony or equilibrium with it. And fortunately, over the eons, various humans among us have been able to align with the Good often enough and with enough understanding, love, and will to enable the Plan to evolve, although at a painfully slow pace, through the planet. This evolution has occurred only with the payment of our blood and sacrifice, struggle and striving. However, in the last few hundred years Humanity has made much progress.

True, we can freely choose to be out of tune, out of balance, out of harmony with the Plan. This is precisely what huge numbers of us have been doing for eons. These choices made by us when our consciousness is polarized in a state of separative identification in a one dimensional materialism give us clear feedback concerning our state of equilibrium and harmony with evolution.

Big Example #2
The use of consciously and intelligently designed economic systems by individuals with separative and exclusive consciousnesses to amass and remove from circulation huge percentages of the available energy we call money generates the extreme imbalances we call the rich and the poor. We have a pretty good idea of what constitutes poverty “Nearly 1/2 of the world’s population —more than 3 billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day. More than 1.3 billion live in extreme poverty — less than $1.25 a day. 1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty.” DoSomething.org

Luxury is not so obvious. Of the 7+ billion people on the planet 31 million + are millionaires. There are only 1,844 billionaires on the planet.

We reap what we sow. We sow greed and luxury; we reap poverty. We sow pollution; we reap hurricanes.

This is the way we learn on this Planet. It is called experiment, experience and expression. We experiment with free will, experience the choices and express the learning in a new better way. Of course, as we are all only too aware, it seems that we need several increasingly stronger bashes in the head with the rock of stupidity to get the lesson. We are currently up to category 5 hurricanes. The big question now is will we get it.

These are not problems that intellectualizing about the effects will solve. Intellectualizing is not-knowing. It is doing. It is following directions from a source of Knowing. It is creating functional forms out of energy.

Knowing is being. It is a Heart function. It is the Intended Director of the intellect. This is something that we simply have to “move into” or become aware of.

This comment will not help those who are identified with or “polarized” in the lower mental vehicles. Moving into the future is a choice. It is not a choice to give something up; it is a choice to fly! It is an experience!

One of the most fraudulent and basic iron bound boxes into which we were stuffed or programmed in our youth was that we were mortal! We are our dense physical bodies. After a few measly years our death was unavoidable. We were literally programmed to die because we were programmed to identify with our mortal equipment.

God! It’s like thinking we are our cars. I know that a lot of people do identify with their cars, but they are usually not really that conscious. This “I am my body” program that runs automatically in our consciousnesses has and continues to have an overwhelming effect on how we have structured our existence on the planet.

And yet, a fact that cannot be demonstrated by current materialistically oriented technology is that we are immortal. What that means is that we are not mortal, that is we are not perishable, because we are not our bodies. We are not matter, not the body, not corporeal, or flesh and bone. This is the stuff that is left. It’s called our “mortal remains”. It’s what’s left after we are done with it. Friends and family usually put these remains in a box and then either burn them or bury them and thus return them to their previous state.

We presently call this natural process death. And we fear it from the first time we ever hear of it. Eventually, as consciousness expands beyond our fixation with our bodies and stuff we, some of us anyway, get indicators that there is more to it.

However, as many of us are experiencing, there is a kind of gap between knowing these things and actually living them. This difference between knowing and living is pretty much what the Teaching refers to as the Path to the “Third Initiation”.

Every thought, every action, every breath that we take, no matter how seemingly insignificant that is consciously initiated from our awareness of our not-mortal consciousness is a step in the taking of the “Third Initiation”. The barriers we push against are those other steps. They, many of them, are almost unconscious knee jerk reactions of self-satisfaction, or petty meanness, and acts of superiority or inferiority. These are motivated by the remaining attachments to our illusionary personalities.

Not to disparage the Personality. At this point it plays a rather necessary role in our expanding consciousness by providing the resistance through which we strive. It is about the Human Ray, the 4th Ray of Harmony THROUGH conflict. It lets us know from time to time What’s Up.
