The diversity of forms in just the dense material planes is one of the best examples of Infinity. Of course, for those who are stuck in the tar pit of one-dimensional reality, diversity of form is an excuse to have an argument about which one is better. Probably most people are conscious of this diversity in the plant kingdom, but it is easily seen in any of the kingdoms, including the human kingdom.

My sense is that Unity on a dense physical planetary level is found only in the Conceptual arena: Mineral, Plant, Animal, Human. It is very rare if ever, that one finds two of anything that have physical dense bodies that are exactly alike. And in the case of humans the physical body is only the beginning of diversity. From that point in, that, is into the non-dense worlds of energy which pattern out in thought and emotional forms–attitudes, habits, capacity, preferences, abilities, behaviors, hopes, wishes, dreams, expectations, mannerisms, motor skills, weaknesses and strengths, virtues and morality, feelings, assumptions, and beliefs– diversity is the rule.

The Cult of Individualism

We cherish our diversity, our individuality, and we should. Our conscious awareness of ourselves as individuals makes it possible for us to experience, to discriminate, to make choices and to grow in understanding and an acceptance of responsibility that can come only from experience. Over the ages this sense of individuality sort of crystallized and developed into a deep sense of separation in consciousness. The crystallization, in many cases the worship of individuality into an end in itself, separated us and put us into competition with each other. We lost sight of the fact of the one humanity.

The significant issue here is that every diverse individual human being is a member of the One Humanity. Billions of incredibly diverse individuals are what Humanity looks like. Humanity is our base. Humanity or Mankind has always been scientifically recognized as a single group that is distinctly separate from minerals, plants, and animals. Scientifically we all recognize ourselves as one group. However, as I mentioned above, although we see that we are all one group, we have lost sight of what that fact means and, more importantly, what it signifies.

How did this happen?

As we said, from this common Human base flows unimaginable diversity. In the case of humans, the diversity starts with male and female. The ancient primary discriminator free of assigned qualities and behaviors was whether the individual had a vagina or a penis. Those with a vagina were labeled women. Those with a penis were labeled men. This was pretty much a superficial physical discriminator, but that was all they could see in those days, and so that’s pretty much where objective science ended, and the real problems began.

This basic diversity was followed by several tens of thousands of years during which qualities were more or less arbitrarily assigned to each sex.

In the great creation myth, Genesis, “The Garden of Eden” section assigns various qualities to each of the sexes. According to the myth, Adam was created first. Thus men started out being first or, #1 which means being best, superior, the leader, the ruler and law maker etcetera.

Adam being the obvious superior one, Eve was a kind of second class knock off made from one of Adam’s ribs. Given that there were no women around at Adam’s creation, this was the only option. The appearance of Eve (more of an invention, kind of tool or useful extension of Adam, than a creation) included a collection of a subtle kind of stigmata of what were considered to be somewhat inferior qualities. She was, for just a small example, naive to the point of being daffy and gullible enough to be conned by the then Donald snake.

As the Wheel turned, these assignments of various stigmata were usually made by those in power who were almost exclusively men, or as they became known, #1. A vast number of these qualities were highly non-physical abstractions such as attitudes, habits, capabilities, preferences, thinking abilities, behaviors, hopes, wishes, dreams, those I mentioned above, and a whole host of others. These were awarded or assigned as unique exclusive characteristics according to the type of genitalia. Those assigned to males tended to be qualities associated with leadership, Regal power, honesty, courage, strength both moral and physical (There were no women seated around King Arthur’s round table.) and so on. Those assigned to women tended toward emotional, kind, instinctive, whimsical, docile, compliant, vulnerable, more or less support the second class status of Eve.

Thus millions of ancient assumptions regarding what it means and signifies to be a woman or a man, like those that have been raised to, and are now worshipped as, scientific fact in the fiction books like Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus are form focused, superficial, and basically ignorant. This ancient assignment of various qualities to one or the other sexes has created a virtually impenetrable wall or screen of separation of the sexes. When a person looks at a female, he or she automatically sees the qualities that have been unquestionably assigned to each sex for thousands of years. And when looking at a female say, if they see the female manifesting through behavior or appearances qualities that have been assigned to the male, she is labeled as a lesbian. If a male is demonstrating qualities assigned to a female, he is labeled as homosexual or queer.

The assignment of these various qualities to individuals based on their sex is simply ignorant. Such ignorance has served for eons to separate humans into two categories. The separated consciousness or the consciousness identified with its forms has been deeply programmed to be highly protective of his or her own personal separated self, thus further reinforcing the validity of these absurd assignments.

Observing people in numerous situations every day, and looking back over my personal life experiences, it has become more and more clear to me that the only significant difference between any man and any woman is a matter of genitalia. I have observed both my personal behavior and the behavior of both men and women in thousands of situations of many, many kinds. The unavoidable conclusion of these observations is that in any situation men employ qualities and behaviors assigned to women and women employ qualities and behaviors assigned to men. This observation cuts across all aspects of my life experience.

Rather than sex related, these behaviors are “normal” Human reactions. In the Human Kingdom, no energy or “quality” of any energy is exclusively sexually linked. Energies are neither feminine nor masculine. Any woman and any man can and does respond to all categories of psychic energy. Human consciousness registers and responds to any of the hundreds of energies to which we have given names: love, joy, happiness fear, doubt, anger, curiosity, wonder, scorn, shame.

It is not accurate to refer to the energy of Will as Masculine. It is likewise not accurate to refer to the energy of Creation or Manifestation as Feminine. One energy is Intentional or Initiating. It is called Will. The other energy is Manifesting or Creative, that is, it gives body or form to the Intention or Initiation. This energy is called Good Will.

“The cosmic Breath of the Mother of the World is all-pervading. Verily, all is imbued with it. From infinitesimal grains of dust to immeasurable magnitudes, life moves and breathes by this Breath. How then not to cognize the power which moves the Universe! How not to ponder upon the essence of Being! Fathom the rhythm of cosmic energy and understand the rhythm of evolution. The essence of evolution is unalterable and is measured by the manifestation of Infinity.” Infinity I, #10.

That we have mixed up dense physical discriminators like Father-Mother, male-female, with these always and everywhere present cosmic energies was necessary when, in order to communicate, the Teachers of humanity, had to rely on metaphors that could be comprehended by the consciousnesses of primitive humans. Each of the qualities that we have named, joy and beauty and harmony and love, are frequencies of energy. Each can be recognized and utilized by any human of either sex whose consciousness is evolved enough to do so.

When one is being to some degree selfless, empathetic, or kind, or understanding, or striving for the Good, or courageous, or compassionate, generous, or truly beautiful, or serene, regardless of one’s sex or dense physical role, class, station or IQ, (It might be good to note here that relative intelligence has nothing at all to do with the level of consciousness one might be exhibiting.) one may be either a woman or a man. What is being demonstrated is a relatively advanced evolutionary stage of Humanness. These kinds of qualities have very high frequencies that can only be registered by the heart. They gradually come on line–can be registered and used—as a person works free from the mind generated prison of the illusion of separation. Gradually moving into a unifying or unified, or whole consciousness, these seeds of Humanness take root and flourish.

These energies may be able to be registered as “existing” by the separative mind. However, they cannot be embodied or understood, that is become an integral part of the Etheric body, until the heart is functioning to some degree. This is what the evolution of consciousness is about.

When one is being mean, or harmful, or selfish, or cruel, or possessive, or lying, or cheating, or greedy, prideful, slothful, one is being a separated or unconscious human being who may be either a man or a woman. “It is interesting to note that those movements which have laid the emphasis so strongly on the heart or love aspect, may respond more rapidly to the inflow of force at the Coming than other movements which consider themselves very advanced. The “mind may slay” the recognition of the Real, and hatred between brothers swing the tide of love-force away.” A Treatise on Cosmic Fire P. 759

While incarnated one must have a vehicle adequate to the intention for the incarnation. The vehicle will be either female or a male and have physical characteristics appropriate for the mission. We have bodies, but we are not our bodies. One of the lingering downsides of separative personality and dense physical form identification is the tendency to unconsciously allow these ancient thoughtforms to affect our vision of possibilities. In either case, to identify as a Man or a Woman is to accept the programming limitations and restrictions of the absurd stigmata that for thousands of years of have been veiling the Path of Humanity.

First, recall that the physical body is not a principle. “At present, the physical body is the only one which is as yet so fully developed that it has in this planetary scheme of ours no further evolutionary development, except in so far as the spiritual man can affect it– and most of the effect is produced in the etheric body and not in the dense physical. This is a point little grasped but of major importance.” Esoteric Healing P.612

That being the case, forget about being the physical body. Realize that we are Human Beings, and that being Human is a matter of consciousness, not a matter of matter. For a Human Being, the manifestation and maintenance of healthy equipment appropriate for the tasks at hand is an unavoidable and below the threshold of consciousness effect of that consciousness. One does not have to discipline oneself to beat one’s heart.

Perhaps the most important thing that the Great Illusion of Separation has hidden from us is that Human Beings are normally androgynous. If we free the meaning of androgyny from its dense physical Male/female focus it means that humans can and do register and implement the frequencies of any energy. And this condition actually has nothing to do with either romance or making babies.

Identify as a Human Being first and last. When one is being Human, one can love everybody. And one can do anything. Expanding consciousness…well, it’s called evolution, but it is only moving into our unavoidable destiny.
